Experiencing God’s Best

They would simply be different, and God would be working in the other option as well. I will never know which option was ‘the best,’ because I will never know how the other course would have turned out. But this I do know: it would have come with its own set of challenges and blessings that God would have walked me through. It would certainly be different, but not less, because God would’ve been just as much with me there as He is with me here.

This is true for everything. No matter which career path you take, or relationship you choose, God will be there. He is behind every door. “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6; Hebrews 13:5)

Proverbs 3:5-6 speaks to the one standing at such forks in the road. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight.” Did you hear that? In all your decisions acknowledge God! That means you are to obey what you already know He commands you to do (as laid out in the Bible) – operate with integrity, be humble, don’t lie, want what you have – and He will personally walk with you along life’s blessed path.

So here is the secret to experiencing God’s best – trust and character. Trust God is behind every career and relational door, and operate with godly character inside that door and you will experience God’s best.
