The kitchen not only facilitates special celebrations we enjoy as a church family but is invaluable as we serve our community.
It's not just a church kitchen — It's a community kitchen
In the same way the kitchen is the heartbeat of your home, the kitchen has been central to the mission of The Bridge Church. The kitchen facilitates special celebrations we enjoy as a church family, such as new member lunches, the International Food Faire, Server Celebration, meals for Bridge Kids, and Quinceaneras along with our ongoing ministries (Men’s Breakfasts, Women’s gatherings, Student Ministries). The kitchen is also important for the times we grieve together around the table at funerals and memorial services. And the kitchen is invaluable as we serve our community through ManaFest (food distribution ministry), snacks for Buddy Break (respite care for kids with disabilities), Conejo Valley High School Thanksgiving Feast and the annual graduation meal for Newbury Park High School special needs students and families. The kitchen is used to raise support for missionaries who share Jesus around the world.
After decades of use, however, the kitchen has fallen into disrepair. The cabinets are unsightly, with the laminate peeling off and the particle board deteriorating. The range, which belonged to Vincent Price (that's a scary thought), is unreliable.
Our team began praying and read on about an exciting opportunity that came up!
